I bought the Lune for a wedding and have worn it to dinner three times since. The satin has real weight to it, so it does not cling the way cheaper slips do. I am 5 ft 6 and the hem sat just below the knee, exactly as the size chart said.

Second winter in the Quill and it still holds its shoulder. No pilling under the arms, which is where every other wool coat I have owned has failed by now. The single hidden button keeps the front clean.

The denim itself is excellent - heavy, no stretch, and the leg is genuinely straight rather than tapered. I am knocking off one star because the 32 runs small on me and I had to exchange for a 33. Fair play to them, the exchange was free and took four days.

The silk is the real thing, matte on both faces. I wear it under a blazer for work and it stays flat at the waist instead of bunching. Hand wash only, which I knew before ordering, so no complaints there.

Packs into its own inner pocket and comes out with the loft intact. I took it to Oslo in February and was warm walking at night at -8. It is not a dressy jacket, but that is rather the point of it.

No itch at all, which is the only reason I ordered it. Washed it on the wool cycle and it came out the same size and the same shape. I now own it in oatmeal and in navy.

The leather has already darkened where I hold the handles and honestly it looks better for it. My main question before ordering was whether the handles fit over a coat shoulder - they do, with room.

I sized up so I could layer a knit underneath and it still looks sharp belted at the waist. The collar sits properly when turned up, and the belt is real metal D-rings, which you cannot tell from the photos.
